Kenya’s Lake Naivasha Basin is the centrepiece of a unique development experiment. It serves a vast horticulture industry, market gardens, small farms, and a geothermal power plant. With the basin showing signs of stress, local, national and international stakeholders are working towards an integrated solution to manage its water, energy and land (WEL). The 2011/12 European Report on Development (ERD) has released a short film showcasing the importance of this ‘WEL-nexus’ approach to inclusive and sustainable growth. Green dragons - Green is an earthly color. Thus, the green dragon is often associated with the world, vegetation, and nature. Some people believe that some green dragons spew acid instead of fire or ice. Also, most green dragons can command forces of nature. Forces of nature include things like growth, earthquakes, and fluxes in the landscape. Lore is another thing that people have attributed to green dragons; they attract people with earthly tidings and such wondrous things.

Bayer HealthCare’s Consumer Care division announced today the introduction of Bayer® Advanced Aspirin, the next generation of aspirin for pain relief. Using the patent-pending Pro-Release™ Technology, Bayer Advanced Aspirin is clinically proven to relieve tough pain twice as fast as previous Bayer® Aspirin tablets. With the introduction of aspirin in 1899, Bayer offered one of the first widely accessible analgesics, or pain relievers, to consumers. Today, Bayer's overall global Aspirin business continues to grow, and had double-digit, year-on-year sales growth in Q1 2011. Yet, while Bayer continues to be a leader in the category, for many U.S. consumers, Bayer Aspirin is primarily synonymous with cardiovascular use. Now, through a combination of technological innovation and rich analgesic heritage, Bayer is introducing a new standard in aspirin for tough pain relief with Bayer Advanced Aspirin. The pace of economic growth has slowed significantly since the start of 2011 and the slowdown is expected to continue into the start of 2012, according to a survey of CEOs of small-to-medium-sized businesses. The Vistage CEO Confidence Index was 92.9 in the Q2 2011 survey, substantially below the 105.2 posted in Q1, and erasing all the gains recorded since 93.7 was registered in Q1 2010. Though declines were present in every major survey component, the largest losses were in evaluations of the overall economy. Rather than expecting a renewed economic downturn, the majority of CEOs anticipated a stagnating economy: growth too slow to support robust gains in employment or investment, and resulting in lower revenue and profit levels than previously forecast. Half of all firms put planned investments on hold due to the slowdown in economic growth. To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://multivu.prnewswire.com/mnr/vistage/51040/
