In case you are unfamiliar with what they are, conversion stats tell you important detail about who is coming to your site and if they are buying or not. You need to know this data because you want to eventually focus your efforts on what is working and faze out what is not. This will improve your overall ROI (return on investment). One of the skills you will need to learn is keyword research. I recommend using the Google Keyword Tool in order to do your research but we will be covering exactly how to do that in future lessons. Keyword research is a vital part of internet marketing because you don't want to be targeting keywords that people are not relevant to your products or services. Also, if you target low quality keywords that could create a direct impact on the amount of income you make.

You will need some additional computer skills but if you are just no good at it, you can hire people to do it for you. We will be discussing outsourcing in later lessons as well so please keep a look out for them. Internet marketing doesn't require a website but I recommend you studying the lessons on affiliate marketing to learn more. If you are a beginner and you want to learn how to build one from scratch, remember I recommend using Wordpress.

In order for your website to be visible via the internet, you need a few basic components. You need what is called a hosting account as well as a domain name. A hosing account is a place to store your files online so they are visible for everyone to see. A domain name is the registered online address for your website. This helps people find your content and establishes an identity for your website. Thirdly, you need a website or blog. For this, I personally recommend Wordpress. This is a content management system where you can actually log into the back office so to speak and change the way your content is viewed.

Especially for those like me, I am a father of six children. I absolutely love spending time with my family. I am able to get the kids off to school in the morning as well as greet them when they get off the bus. This has been something I have always dreamed of being able to do and it wouldn't have been possible if I didn't have an internet marketing career. I used to sacrifice so much time everyday at the office. I was lucky to make it home in time to kiss the kids on the head at night just before they went to bed. I am very thankful to be a bigger part of their lives now thanks to internet marketing.

Internet marketing has helped to create tons of self made millionaires because of it\'s flexibility to work with as many different companies, in as many different niches as you wish.
