The Tory Burch Foundation today announced the launch of a global campaign, #EmbraceAmbition, to encourage women to embrace ambition. The initiative kicks off today to coincide with International Women’s Day. Inspired by Tory’s personal experience as a woman and entrepreneur, the campaign aims to address the double standard that exists around ambition, which is often seen as a great attribute in men and as a negative one in women. A cornerstone of the campaign is a video PSA celebrating ambition, created with Laird+Partners. (NYSE: JWN) is celebrating its customers and their stories through a holiday campaign that thanks them called ‘Love, Nordstrom.’ The company is using the marketing campaign as a stage for larger-than-life love notes to thank customers for the special relationship they share. The campaign debuts today in the U.S. and Canada. LOVE, NORDSTROM With this year’s campaign, Nordstrom is prioritizing a pure holiday spirit and expressing gratitude to connect emotionally with its customers in a special way. More than 30 real Nordstrom customers were photographed in Los Angeles, Nashville and Seattle and are featured in the national campaign that was produced in partnership with creative agency Partners & Spade. “This holiday, we want to remember and thank the people who are most special to us at Nordstrom – our customers,” said Nordstrom Vice President of Creative Projects Olivia Kim. “We reached out to our employees and asked them to share some of their favorite customer stories. We met with as many people as we could, asked them to bring along some of the things that make up their signature style and took photos of them. It was so fun to connect with our customers who make us who we are. Even though the big holidays usually get the spotlight, there are many everyday moments big or small worth celebrating throughout the fall and winter months. This is why the National Pork Board (NPB) today launched the “Sabrosos Momentos” campaign aimed at celebrating those joyous every day, and sometimes humorous, moments of the season. To bring these moments to life, the NPB has partnered with three of the most recognizable social media celebrities and digital talents in the country today: LeJuan James, Los Pichy Boys and David Lopez. The celebrity influencers will capture their own pork-centric “Sabrosos Momentos” with a comical and unique Latino twist. The first video by the Cuban duo “Los Pichy Boys” will zero in on the cast of characters that make up a typical Latino family at any get-together. In November, LeJuan James will release a video that centers on how he welcomes unexpected guests; and in December, David Lopez’s video will highlight a humorous interpretation of how Latinos combine new and old traditions. Northwestern Medicine’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is celebrating the success of its transcatheter valve program, a pioneering technology that replaces or repairs leaky heart valves without open-heart surgery. On August 25, 2016, more than 50 former transcatheter valve replacement patients and their family members celebrated the life-saving procedure that has extended both their lives and their ability to enjoy them. The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute hit the milestone of being the first hospital in Illinois to perform the 500th TAVR, or transcatheter aortic valve replacement, since the program’s inception in 2008. Charles J. Davidson, MD, performed the 500th procedure on July 23, 2016.
