https://exodraft-heatrecovery.com/about-heat-recovery/uk-heat-recovery-ihrs-funding/ Visit https://exodraft-heatrecovery.com Did you know that your company can receive up to 50% government funding when installing an industrial heat recovery system? The program is called IHRS – or Industrial Heat Recovery Scheme – and within the program, a total of £18 million are available for funding. Of the £18 million, £6 million are earmarked for concept and design and £12 million are earmarked for installation, commissioning and monitoring. A heat recovery project can receive funding at any stage – even at the consultant and analysis stage – all the way through to the final turn-key delivery. Funding applications are graded on a 0-to-10 scale. The higher the score, the greater the funding potential. In order to be eligible for funding, the heat recovery system must be installed on an existing installation. The project as a whole is graded based on energy benefit, kilowatt savings as well as environmental, economic and social impact and must achieve a minimum score of 5. It is a requirement that the recovered energy is used within the confines of the business.

Nearly five dozen 2019 models meet stricter criteria to qualify for a 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK+ or TOP SAFETY PICK award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 30 first-tier “plus” award winners earn the highest rating for passenger-side protection in a small overlap front crash and have good-rated available headlights, while the 27 winners of the second-tier award qualify with an acceptable or higher rating in the newest IIHS crash test and the nighttime headlight evaluation. All 57 vehicles in this elite group earn good ratings in the Institute’s five other crashworthiness evaluations and have an available automatic emergency braking system that rates advanced or superior for front crash prevention. IIHS now requires a good rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test to earn a 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK+ versus an acceptable or good rating for the 2018 award. An acceptable or good rating in the passenger-side test is a new criterion to earn a 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK. This marks the sixth time that IIHS has raised the bar to earn the TOP SAFETY PICK+ award since introducing it in the 2013 model year to recognize vehicles that offer a superior level of safety. The TOP SAFETY PICK accolade launched in the 2006 model year to help consumers identify vehicles with the highest ratings. Over the years, IIHS has added to and strengthened criteria for both awards to encourage manufacturers to speed up safety advances.

According to recent survey by Medicomp Systems, 43 percent of healthcare IT professionals and physicians cited that their top data-related challenge was not a lack of data but rather the struggle to access the right data at the right time. Those findings aren't surprising since the vast majority of health information systems today share a common design flaw: they don't think and work the way physicians do at the point of care. However, they are still deeply concerning. To deliver the best patient care, physicians need clinically relevant data that is seamlessly presented within their current workflows and integrated into the same workspace. The result is not only better patient care and better outcomes but also higher clinical effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The health of babies in the United States has taken a step backward as the nation’s preterm birth rate worsened for the first time in eight years, the March of Dimes said today. The U.S. earned a “C” grade on the latest March of Dimes Premature Birth Report Card amidst widening differences in prematurity rates across different races and ethnicities. “The 2016 March of Dimes Report Card demonstrates that there is an unfair burden of premature birth among specific racial and ethnic groups as well as geographic areas,” says Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, president of the March of Dimes. “The March of Dimes strives for a world where every baby has a fair chance, yet we see this is not the reality for many mothers and babies. Babies in this country have different chances of surviving and thriving simply based on the circumstances of their birth.” The U.S. preterm birth rate went up from 9.57 to 9.63 in 2015, according to final data from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Across the country, preterm birth rates were nearly 48 percent higher among black women and more than 15 percent higher among American Indian/Alaska Native women compared to white women. University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS), a leading graduate institution that emphasizes health and rehabilitative sciences education through innovative classroom education, is pleased to announce the installation of SafeGait 360° Balance and Mobility Trainer® on its Austin, Texas campus. The device, which was designed in collaboration with experts in physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT), works to mitigate the risk of injury from falls, protecting both the patient and therapist. In addition, SafeGait 360°’s dynamic fall protection (DFP) distinguishes between a patient’s intentional downward movement and when a patient is actually falling, which allows therapists to easily modify fall protection sensitivity to accommodate and challenge patients at varying stages of independence. USAHS is one of the first higher education institutions in the nation to install this innovative body-weight support and fall protection system. In addition to conducting ground breaking research with patients and students, faculty members with extensive experience in body-weight treatments aim to open a clinic which will provide new treatment options to patients in the Austin community, and will begin seeing patients in October of this year. CEB (NYSE: CEB), a best practice insight and technology company, today announced the launch of CEB Precise Fit. This new high-volume recruiting solution combines a candidate-friendly mobile experience with industry-leading predictive analytics to deliver more than 20 percent improvement on applicant quality. CEB Precise Fit is the only assessment solution that was built expressly for the mobile platform and that offers the candidate real-time feedback during the process, helping them determine whether the job is a good fit. This results in a more positive brand experience for the candidate and a more qualified, higher-performing applicant for the employer. The traditional hiring process is cumbersome for all involved. Recruiters have to sort through three times the applications they did just a few years ago and it takes them 26 days longer to make a hire than it did in 2010. Despite this, there’s been no real improvement in quality of hire. Candidates have their own challenges with the process – putting forth all of their effort upfront with limited knowledge of the day-to-day requirements of the position; not hearing back from an employer after submitting an application – which results in a negative recruitment experience. These experiences cost brands more than just great talent; they can directly impact the bottom line since one-in-five candidates who report a negative recruiting experience stop using or purchasing products from that brand. For decades, students with full-time jobs, families at home or several years between credit hours were considered outliers, or “non-traditional students.” Today, however, they constitute nearly 75 percent of America’s undergraduate student body, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. This “New Majority” consists of working adults who are managing the demands of school, work and family life, and are looking at higher education with a different set of expectations and priorities. At schools like DeVry University, the New Majority students are finding the flexibility they need. Whether they’re looking for flexible course schedules, stackable certification programs or the ability to mix and match different modes of immersive learning, these students turn to DeVry University for degree programs and skill sets that can be immediately applied in the workplace.
