This is Opera Australia's most ambitious project ever, costing $11.5m with over 130 performers, 240 Opera Australia staff and 60 volunteers. Staged under the night sky and against the spectacular backdrop of the Sydney skyline, performers and audiences alike will be lit up nightly by this sparkling opera production complete with fireworks on five barges. Featuring Mardi-Gras-inspired costumes, the world's largest Chesterfield and a live orchestra housed on the water line, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour is more than opera, it's an event. Already called the 'world-wide number #1 opera event of 2012' by The Guardian, it's set to dazzle 3000 people nightly, over its 3 week season. Directed by renowned US director Francesca Zambello and starring Australian sopranos Emma Matthews and Rachelle Durkin alternating in the role of Violetta, with two of the world's leading tenors, Italian, Gianluca Terranova and Korean, Ji-Min Park alternating as Alfredo. The new trailer will be available to watch on the Bob the Builder YouTube Channel today.
Bob the Builder has been entertaining pre-schoolers for the past 16 years with his antics in the seaside harbour town of Fixham, bringing the world of construction to life in an inspiring and meaningful way.
For the upcoming new CGI-animated series launching on Channel 5’s Milkshake from 1st September 2015 at 7.20am, Bob the Builder has been given his biggest re-vamp in the show’s history with a modern look and feel.
The new-look Bob is still the same Bob that audiences know and love though. His dungarees might have been replaced with a hi-vis jacket but his chunky boots, yellow hard hat and checked shirt all remain, ensuring TV’s best-loved builder remains just as recognisable as ever. With his trusty tool belt now jam-packed with all manner of handy kit, Bob is ready to go… No project is too big, no problem too hard to solve.
The new series will see Bob the Builder continuing its long tradition of telling fun and interesting stories through positivity and teamwork with exciting characters, relatable locations and an aspirational hero.

Volvo Cars, the premium car maker best known for its leadership in safety, has teamed up with three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and artist Barbara Davidson for a world-first - using the on-board safety cameras of the new Volvo XC60 to create a special collection of photographs.
This is the first time ever that a car is used as a camera by a photographer. Davidson’s collection of around 30 photographs, taken through the lenses of the XC60’s on-board safety cameras, captures life on the streets of the Danish capital Copenhagen from a completely fresh perspective.
