Since Super Storm Sandy hit the Jersey Shore in October 2012, Atlantic City has battled the misperception that the famed Boardwalk was destroyed in the storm. Due to the storm’s track, Atlantic City’s tourism district suffered minimal damage. People mistakenly believe that the damaged boardwalks and amusement piers they saw on broadcast news programs were in Atlantic City, which is not true. Atlantic City is open for business.

Millions of young people across the nation will become scientists for the day tomorrow, during the fifth annual 4-H National Youth Science Day (NYSD). The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held from June 20 to 22, 2013 – this year’s theme was “Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy”.
