This season, the House of Givenchy, under the initiative of Artistic Director Riccardo Tisci, is bringing an exceptional collection to New York, as the city represents the capital of the American dream for the designer and for the founder Hubert de Givenchy, who were both supported from the very beginning by the American market.
On September 11th 2015, New York hosted a performance show dedicated to love and sharing. With a décor of recycled materials installed on the banks of the Hudson in Tribeca, there was an unprecedented audience in attendance: professionals from the fashion world rubbed shoulders with celebrities, fashion-school students, winners of a competition organized in partnership with the city, and local residents from the neighbourhood.
The website givenchy.com and giant screens installed across the city, from Soho to Times Square, also broadcast the show live, while advertising buses made their way across the Bronx, Harlem, and Queens inviting a wide a number as possible to follow the event.
With Marina Abramović, a friend of the House and co-author of numerous artistic projects, Riccardo Tisci created a performance which reached beyond the scope of fashion. Designed to be an emotional experience focusing on universal themes (love, peace, freedom, humility, spirituality), it notably put the spotlight on four artists who performed spiritual and cultural chants from across the world. True to form, Marina Abramović also invited seven artists to host live performances on the show's location.

Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi (EURONEXT: SAN and NYSE: SNY), announced today that its first doses of the Fluzone® (Influenza Vaccine) portfolio for the 2017-2018 influenza (“flu”) season have been released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Sanofi Pasteur has begun distributing initial shipments, representing the first of nearly 70 million total doses of seasonal influenza vaccine manufactured by the company for this upcoming influenza season. Widespread shipment of Fluzone Quadrivalent, Fluzone High-Dose and Fluzone Intradermal Quadrivalent vaccine to health care provider offices, pharmacies and other immunizers will begin in early August to support fall immunization campaigns.
“As we enter the Swiftwater site’s 120th year, it reminds us of our innovation and growth as we came to understand the science of influenza and its impact on human health,” said David P. Denn die Kombi-Version ist kein bloßes Anhängsel des Schrägheck-Modells mit angesetztem „Rucksack“, sondern weist ein eigenständiges Profil auf. Und bietet zu einem Mehrpreis von 1.775 Euro erheblich mehr Stauvolumen – in der Standard-Konfiguration mit 605 Litern immerhin 225 Liter mehr. Wer sich sicher ist, dass das Auto stets nur mit maximal zwei Personen besetzt ist und weder längere Urlaubsreisen noch ständig größere Einkäufe bei einem Baumarkt anfallen, dürfte sich die Mehrkosten sparen. Doch schon bei einer vierköpfigen Familie könnte der Variant eine Überlegung wert sein, zumal der Kombi sich weitaus stärker als das Schrägheck-Modell von seinem Vorgänger unterscheidet. Er ist mit 4,56 Metern nicht nur um 30 Zentimeter länger als der Basis-Golf, sondern auch gegenüber dem Vorgänger länger, breiter und niedriger geworden und wirkt schon aufgrund dieser „schärferen“ Proportionen sportlicher und markanter. In dieses Bild passt das neue Design. Perfektion im Detail spiegeln dabei markante Elemente wie die D-Säulen wider. Den Designern ist es hier gelungen, die wie die Sehne eines Bogens mit eingesetztem Pfeil gespannte Form der für den Golf so typischen C-Säulen auf die D-Säulen des Variant zu übertragen. Bis zum Abschluss der vorderen Türen folgt der Variant zwar der präzisen Linienführung des Golf Schrägheckmodells. Ab den B-Säulen entwickelt sich dann allerdings der eigenständigste und auch optisch dynamischste Golf Variant seit Bestehen der Baureihe.

İşte bu sebeple, 1975 yılında Suudi Arabistan'ın en önemli din otoritesi kabul edilen Şeyh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz tarafından Dünya'nın düz olduğu fetvası verilmiş ve buna inanmayanların dinsiz kabul edilerek, cezelandırılması gerektiği bildirilmiştir. Bugün, ülkemizde, hadisleri baz alarak Adem'in dinozorlarla aynı dönemde yaşadığını ve 30 m. uzunlukta olduğunu söyleyen biyoloji profesörlerimiz varken, dünyanın düz olduğunu söyleyen uzmanlar hiçbir müslümanı da şaşırtmamalı. Şüphesiz buna inananlar sadece müslümanlar değil. 1956 yılında Britanya'da, Flat Earth Society (Düz Dünya Cemiyeti) adıyla, Dünya'nın düz olduğunu savunan ve bugün hala aktif olan bir organizasyon bile kuruldu. Bilim karşıtlığı hiçbir zaman popülaritesini yitirmiyor.

Society for Science & the Public (Society) today announced that Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: REGN) is the new title sponsor of the Science Talent Search. Selected through a competitive process that garnered interest from the nation’s leading companies and philanthropists, Regeneron will become only the third sponsor in 75 years of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious high school science competition.
