Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., have signed a unique three-way agreement to accelerate the commercialization of fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) technology.
The goal of the collaboration is to jointly develop a common fuel cell electric vehicle system while reducing investment costs associated with the engineering of the technology. Each company will invest equally towards the project. The strategy to maximize design commonality, leverage volume and derive efficiencies through economies of scale will help to launch the world’s first affordable, mass-market FCEVs as early as 2017.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has sold its 100,000th zero-emission car.
Electric cars from Renault and Nissan have driven approximately 841 million zero-emission kilometers – enough to circle the earth more than 20,000 times. Together, they represent 53 million liters of oil saved and 124 million kg of CO2 that have not been emitted.
“The age of the mainstream zero-emission vehicle is here,” said Renault-Nissan Alliance Chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn. “We expect demand to keep growing as the charging infrastructure develops – and we remain 100% committed to zero-emission technology for the long term.”

Das ist auf dem Papier dieselbe Nominierung wie in 2012, jedoch sind die Gummimischungen dieser Saison weicher und bieten mehr Performance. Außerdem wurde die Konstruktion der Reifen noch einmal verändert. Die neuen Slicks kombinieren die Struktur der Reifengeneration aus 2012 mit den aktuellen, softeren Gummimischungen der Saison 2013. Vergangene Woche testeten die Teams diese neuen Reifen erfolgreich auf der Strecke in Silverstone und sammelten dabei ausgiebig Informationen. Auf dem engen und kurvigen Hungaroring ist die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit niedrig, ein Faktor, der Abrieb und Verschleiß maßgeblich beeinflusst. At 37 years old, with a thriving concrete business, a wife and three young children, dying was the last thing on Travis Roberts’ mind. But after a doctor’s visit for a kidney stone, Roberts learned he had cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile duct. His survival rate was zero.

India is now the fifth largest producer in the world of passenger cars but new independent crash tests show why the country should use internationally accepted safety standards. Crash tests of Nissan’s Datsun Go and Maruti-Suzuki’s Swift demonstrate a high risk of life-threatening injuries with both cars receiving zero-star safety rating for their adult occupant protection.
