Disasters like floods, hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, and earthquakes are a harsh and frequent reality for much of the country. According to a recent survey conducted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), progress has been made; however fewer than half of Americans have discussed and developed an emergency plan with their household. Today, FEMA and the Ad Council launched a new series of public service announcements (PSAs) to encourage families to develop an emergency communication plan before a disaster occurs. The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History will open a unique hands-on learning space, the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation Object Project, July 1. Made possible by philanthropist Phyllis Taylor, the 4,000-square-foot space in the museum's new Innovation Wing will focus on “everyday things that changed everything.” Anchored by an array of individual cases–some overhead, others with visitor-activated sound, light and motion effects–“Object Project” will invite visitors to interact with approximately 250 objects within the 9-by-40-foot sculpture that forms the learning space. The space is divided into four sections: Bicycles, Refrigerators, Ready-to-Wear Clothes and Household Hits, which includes a customized interactive version of “The Price Is Right” game show format licensed from FremantleMedia North America Inc. Nespresso has revealed a humorous behind-the-scenes video showing new leading man Jack Black receiving guidance from the ever smooth George Clooney as they filmed the latest TV commercial entitled Epiphany. The advert explores the concept of ‘What Else?’, provoking viewers to consider the unique Nespresso qualities that are incomparable. ‘What Else?’ encapsulates all of the elements that create the ultimate coffee experience - everything from the unique approach to sustainable coffee, unparalleled coffee quality through to the unsurpassed coffee expertise, stylish boutiques, innovative services and more.
