This season, the House of Givenchy, under the initiative of Artistic Director Riccardo Tisci, is bringing an exceptional collection to New York, as the city represents the capital of the American dream for the designer and for the founder Hubert de Givenchy, who were both supported from the very beginning by the American market. On September 11th 2015, New York hosted a performance show dedicated to love and sharing. With a décor of recycled materials installed on the banks of the Hudson in Tribeca, there was an unprecedented audience in attendance: professionals from the fashion world rubbed shoulders with celebrities, fashion-school students, winners of a competition organized in partnership with the city, and local residents from the neighbourhood. The website givenchy.com and giant screens installed across the city, from Soho to Times Square, also broadcast the show live, while advertising buses made their way across the Bronx, Harlem, and Queens inviting a wide a number as possible to follow the event. With Marina Abramović, a friend of the House and co-author of numerous artistic projects, Riccardo Tisci created a performance which reached beyond the scope of fashion. Designed to be an emotional experience focusing on universal themes (love, peace, freedom, humility, spirituality), it notably put the spotlight on four artists who performed spiritual and cultural chants from across the world. True to form, Marina Abramović also invited seven artists to host live performances on the show's location. Dozens of actors, musicians, sports personalities and other distinguished guests donated their time on September 11th to honor the memories of those who lost their lives on 9/11 by raising more than $12 million for charities around the world. Bis einschließlich August beträgt das Zulassungsminus satte 28,9 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum und das bei einem durchschnittlichen Branchen-Gesamtrückgang von 6,6 Prozent. Mit einer Länge von 4,25 Metern ist der neue 308 die kompakteste Limousine ihres Segments. Auch der Karosserieüberhang fällt vorn wie hinten überraschend kurz aus, was ihm eine dynamische Optik verleiht, ohne die Platzverhältnisse im Innenraum einzuschränken. Dank des auf 2,52 Meter vergrößerten Radstands profitieren Insassen im Innenraum von mehr Bewegungsfreiheit. Das Kofferraumvolumen von 470 Litern (VDA-Norm: 420 Liter), von dem 35 Liter unter dem Bodenteppich versteckt sind, stellt nach Angaben von Peugeot einen Rekordwert im Segment dar. Darüber hinaus gibt es im Innenraum zahlreiche weitere Ablagemöglichkeiten wie das zwölf Liter große Handschuhfach oder die großen Seitentaschen an den Vordertüren.

With September marking National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and the kick-off of the 2015 NFL season, the Urology Care Foundation and the NFL have renewed their commitment to driving prostate health awareness, as well as teamed up to highlight a Public Service Announcement (PSA) focused on educating men about prostate cancer and encouraging them to take charge of their health through the Know Your Stats® campaign. The Know Your Stats® campaign is a rallying force to connect, educate and inspire men across the country to know their prostate cancer risk and talk to their doctor about whether prostate cancer testing is right for them. “It is important for men to know their risk and talk to their doctors so they can determine if prostate cancer testing is right for them,” said Richard A. Memo, MD, Chair of the Urology Care Foundation. “Having the tools and facts empowers individuals and their doctors to make informed decisions.” Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in America, affecting one in seven men. Odds increase to one in five if they are African American and one in three if they have a family history; however, the educational tools are making an impact.
