Vioxx Settlement
This is an important announcement for consumers about the prescription drug Vioxx. Vioxx was a drug commonly used to treat pain and inflammation in adults with arthritis.
A settlement was reached with the manufacturer of Vioxx and will provide refunds to anyone who paid for the medication. Consumers are eligible to get $50 or more. Personal injury claims related to this drug are not included in this settlement.
The deadline to file a claim is approaching – claims must be filed by May 6, 2014.

On 6th May 2015, a delightfully different wedding took place. Two people who’d fallen in love after meeting on a Turkish Airlines flight returned, exactly one year later, to take their romance to another level.
When a beautiful Serbian actress, Vjera Mujović and Stefan Preis, an esteemed doctor from Germany boarded the same Turkish Airlines flight in May 2014, little did they know they’d be returning to the same spot for their wedding.
Having been seated next to each other on the TK 342 flight from Istanbul to Ulan Bator in Mongolia, the couple began chatting. It was kismet. They discovered shared values, thoughts and opinions, despite not only their different backgrounds but also their separate reasons for taking this trip. Before long, they were struck by Cupid’s arrow, and a year later, on 6th May 2015, they became husband and wife aboard the Turkish Airlines Belgrade-Istanbul flight on the same seats 5B and 5C, to be exact.

Hilary Duff, new mother to 22-month-old son Luca, is volunteering her time to help the March of Dimes raise funds to help give more babies a healthy start in life.

That’s why I walk in March for Babies,” she says in a new public service advertisement. “The money we raise funds research and local programs that help babies overcome the challenges of premature birth and birth defects. Lightning may not seem as destructive as other natural disasters, yet a strike can cause serious damage to business equipment and electrical appliances, disrupt electrical service for long periods of time, and spark wildfires. In 2014, State Farm paid nearly $149 million dollars for insurance claims as a result of damage from lightning strikes.

It has been announced today that the 2014 Polar Music Prize, the world’s most prestigious music accolade, will be awarded to two Americans: Chuck Berry, rock ‘n’ roll legend, and Peter Sellars, the American opera and theatre director. Both Laureates will be presented with their prizes by King Carl XVI of Sweden at a gala ceremony in Stockholm’s Concert Hall on 26 August.
