Palo Alto Networks® (NYSE: PANW), the next-generation security company, today announced the latest edition of its Application Usage and Threat Report (AUTR) completed by the Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 Threat Intelligence team.
The report, based on data from more than 7,000 enterprises worldwide, showcases real-world trends in enterprise application usage and critical developments in how attackers are attempting to infect organizations. It also offers practical recommendations for preventing cyberattacks.
Findings highlight the explosion in adoption of software as a service (SaaS) based applications, with the potential to introduce new security risks, or allow unauthorized access to sensitive data. Through the report, security organizations also gain insight into how long-standing and common attack vectors, such as email and executable files, continue to present challenges, as well as global application usage trends for high-risk categories, such as remote access applications.

An expert group of specialists have come together to develop three new educational resources: the Journal of Perioperative Medicine, the Journal of Neonatal Intensive Care and an open-access online portal. These resources provide practical advice on key clinical issues, tackle controversial topics on which a consensus is needed, and highlight clinical concerns that need to be addressed in clinical practice. These resources are available through a new educational initiative called Cure&Care and are accessible at: www.cureandcareportal.com. Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and eCornell have launched new on-demand training in service excellence targeting front-line employees. The training consists of eight online lessons, all of which are available 24/7, and is complemented by a Workshop Guide to promote onsite, face-to-face discussion and application of the online lesson concepts. The training explores the foundations of service delivery and empowers employees through practical tools that can be applied to any situation involving internal or external customers.
Service Excellence On-Demand Training provides groups and organizations with a straightforward framework to increase effectiveness for all customer interactions. It provides employees with the skills needed to connect service excellence concepts to the execution of their daily duties, tasks, and responsibilities. Individuals who successfully complete all eight lessons will receive a recognition of their achievement from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
