The latest edition of the Boeing Store Custom Hangar catalog – featuring a collection of furniture and artwork derived from genuine aircraft parts -- is now available. Offerings include a bench made from a 727-200 jetliner wing slat; a B-17 Flying Fortress propeller blade; and a sleek bar made from the engine of a DC-9/MD-80 airliner.
Buyers and craftspeople for the Custom Hangar climb through aviation boneyards and storage facilities in search of rare artifacts that they refurbish and finish by hand. Starting today, Alaska Airlines customers can enjoy free* entertainment directly on their personal electronic devices. The new entertainment service, available today on 50 of Alaska’s 737 planes, will be available at no extra charge through Jan. 31, 2015. Alaska will equip nearly all of its all-Boeing fleet by April 2015.

With the July Fourth holiday fast approaching, Brookdale Senior Living and the nonprofit organization Wish of a Lifetime™ are celebrating patriotism by sharing the stories of four high-flying World War II veterans whose Wishes of taking to the skies again were fulfilled by the organizations. Granting these Wishes was a way to honor the service of these American heroes and to demonstrate that there is no age limit for taking new adventures. Since Brookdale and Wish of a Lifetime™ started their partnership in 2010, more than 80 of their Wishes have commemorated the service of Brookdale veterans across the country.
