Estée Lauder announces the launch of The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder, a bold new collection of makeup and skincare created for the beauty-obsessed, social media generation. The collection launches today in 320 Sephora U.S. and Canada stores, and is also available on Sephora.com and Sephora.ca.
“Our founder, Estée Lauder, invented the beauty business as we know it,” said Jane Hertzmark Hudis, group president, The Estée Lauder Companies. “So we asked ourselves, ‘If Estée was re-inventing the beauty business for Sephora today, what would she do?’ The answer is The Estée Edit.”

The Estée Edit is inspired by Estée’s famous quote, “Beauty is an Attitude,” and features 82 products – 72 makeup, 10 skincare – that offer instantly, visibly gorgeous skin and covetable color. The packaging features signature elements originally created by Estée herself but with a twist, resulting in silver and white fluted packaging with cobalt blue paint splatter graphics.

Kai Jansen organised a bigg martial arts tournament in Nettetal a city in Germany, Europe. Douwe Geluk and his martial arts team participated at this bigg event and performed the Chinese martial arts of: Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan, Weapons and more. For Spring-Summer 2016, Maison Roger Vivier has entrusted one of its icons line to celebrity Stylist Camille Seydoux: Prismick. A friend of the house, this young woman has dreamed up a version all of her own: a capsule collection entirely in denim.
Six pieces make up this perfect wardrobe: platform sandals, ankle boots, a shoulder bag, a bucket bag, a backpack and a sneaker. Camille melds her creativity with the Roger Vivier legacy. She says:
"We decided that my collection would be dedicated to the Prismick line created in 2012, which is one of my favourites. I began by attentively exploring my own Prismick bag, which is in a melting fade of black and grey. I wanted to work on the idea of facets that make up grades of shading. I looked through the Maison's archives and then I thought of denim. It's a fabric that naturally burnishes. Denim is both classic and modern, and significant detail, is very resistant."
Camille grew up in fashion's inner circle. She opened her own art gallery at the age of 25. Today, she is revolutionising the role of stylist by working hand-in-hand with couture house studios to design bespoke dresses for actresses. For Roger Vivier, she brought her own touch of impertinence: "Denim can be worn with everything and can tone down an outfit. This capsule collection shakes up the look. "

It is amazing to think of the undiscovered treasures that are lurking in attics, cellars and barns around the world, following Campen Auktioner’s recent discovery of more than 50 Renault automobiles in a barn on the Danish island of Funen in January this year.
Although many of the cars are non-runners, they were carefully prepared and waxed before being placed into storage for almost five decades. The Danish collection bears all of the call signs of a dedicated enthusiast with a great passion for Renault and their contributions to the families of the fifties, sixties and seventies.
The owner of this amazing discovery, Anker Krarup, calmly maintains that his collection is a consequence of pure coincidence; it began very simply when he decided to upgrade from a bicycle to an automobile in 1968. He chose the Renault 4CV because he once sat at a dinner table with a man whose wife drove the same model. Despite having a broken heater, and later a broken engine, the 4CV was repaired and used for many years- it even helped Krarup to woo his wife-to-be along the way.

The winners of the Natural Light - International Design Competition have now been chosen from the 172 impressive Natural Light Lamp designs submitted from 65 countries around the world. The winners are two very talented Argentinian Industrial Design students, Ms. Mariana Arando and Mr. Luca Fondello, both from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The production phase of the winning design for the Natural Light Lamp will begin shortly, followed next year by shipment of the lamps to three African countries without access to electricity.
Last year, the VELUX Group and Little Sun joined forces to launch the Natural Light – International Design Competition, which challenged design students around the world to create a design for a solar lamp which would help to bring clean, reliable, affordable light to some of the 1.2 billion people worldwide living without electricity. Now the jury has voted and decided on the winning solar lamp design by two Industrial Design students from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

A level IV trauma center in Washington State has installed copper components throughout its facility as another way of reducing hospital-acquired infections and keeping their patients safe.
Pullman Regional Hospital has become an early adopter of antimicrobial copper after studies found that the age-old metal could continuously kill deadly bacteria.
Each year, 2 million people in the United States are diagnosed with a hospital-acquired infection and nearly 100,000 people die. These infections are caused by common bacteria such as E. coli, MRSA, C. diff, CRE and VRE.
“It is a very serious problem,” said Ed Harrich, the director of surgical services for Pullman Regional Hospital. “I think every hospital across the nation is doing everything they can to try to deal with it the best that they can. But there’s bioburden on everything and people aren’t good at hand washing and there’s cross-contamination everywhere you go.”

The IV Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum (EHELF) took place at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan, June 10-12. Each year, more than 300 attendees, industry leaders, from different parts of the world participate in discussions and panel sessions at EHELF.
The theme of this year’s Forum was “Graduate Employability in the 21st Century: key competencies and modern labor market.” “Nazarbayev University took the initiative and created EHELF, a platform for discussing pressing issues in higher education in Kazakhstan as well as globally. The Amgen Foundation announced today that it will invest more than $4 million to support and strengthen the Amgen Biotech Experience program across the United States, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom and Ireland. The Amgen Biotech Experience includes an engaging series of labs that effectively bring biotechnology into classrooms. This new commitment will also strengthen the program’s alignment with the United States’ Next Generation Science Standards, which are focused on engaging students in more authentic science learning experiences. With the support of Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC), the global nonprofit leading the Amgen Biotech Experience Program Office, the investment is expected to empower 1,000 teachers who will reach more than 150,000 new students with the labs over the next two years.
