Seqirus announced today that the National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit (NAIIS) awarded the organization with the 2016 Immunization Excellence Award for best Corporate Campaign. Georgia Power announced today the latest addition to its industry-leading electric transportation program –electric vehicle (EV) charger rebates for residential customers and new home builders. Introduced as part of the company’s Get Current. Drive Electric.™ initiative, the new rebate program offers qualifying residential customers a $250 rebate for installing a Level 2 charger (208/240-volt) and qualifying new construction builders a $100 rebate for each dedicated 240-volt plug-in ready circuit installed in new homes.

Last December, nearly one-third of all car crash fatalities involved a drunk driver, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Today, to help make our roads safer during the holiday season, the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) launched the 13th annual “Project Roadblock” initiative, in which local broadcast TV stations donate airtime to support NHTSA and the Ad Council’s “Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving” PSA (public service advertising) campaign.
To help the campaign’s message reach those who could benefit most, the Ad Council is conducting a special push to TV stations in the 10 states that accounted for 53% of all alcohol-impaired driving fatalities in 2015: Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Illinois, and South Carolina.

Dixie®, a Georgia-Pacific brand and the leader in disposable tableware and other conveniences for busy families, today announced the creation of a social movement called “Dark for Dinner.” The movement, which launches on June 14 and will take place every Sunday for six weeks, is designed to encourage families to focus on the present and to “Be More Here.”
Dixie is asking families to remove all distractions, including electronic devices, from their dinner experience, and then share what they learned from going “Dark for Dinner” via social media using the hashtag, #DarkforDinner.
