Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela is a mass pilgrimage centered on the ritual of riverside bathing, it is variously called the the Great Indian Bathing Festival, the Urn Festival, the Pitcher Festival and so forth. Bathing in these rivers during the Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela is considered an endeavour of great merit, cleansing both body and spirit. Two traditions are in circulation regarding the origin and timing of the festival: one that stems from ancient texts known as the Puranas, and the other that connects it with astrological considerations. According to the Puranic epic, the gods and demons had churned the milky ocean at the beginning of time in order to gather various divine treasures including a jar containing a potion of immortality - Ambrosia. As the jar emerged from the ocean the gods and demons began a terrific battle for its possession. During the battle, which according to one legend the gods won by trickery, four drops of the precious potion fell to earth, when Jayantha (Jayanth) the son of the chief deity Indra carried the jar (Kumbha/kumbh) that held the ambrosia in the form of a giant bird - these places became the sites of the four Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela festivals, according to another legend he ran away with the jar and hid them on twelve locations on earth where few drops of ambrosia fell, four of these places are known and identified as the four sites for the Kumbh (Kumbh) Mela, the other eight locations are being researched by our team
The astrological tradition (ascribed to a lost Puranic text and not traceable in extant editions) seems to stem from a very ancient festival called the Kumbha Parva, which occurred at Hardwar every twelfth year when Jupiter was in Aquarius (the Indian name being Kumbha/Kumbh) and the sun entered Aries
At some later time the term 'Kumbha (Kumbh)' was prefixed to the Melas held at Prayaga, Ujjain, and Nasik and these four sites became identified with the four mythical locations of the immortality potion - Ambrosia. In theory the Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela festivals are supposed to occur every three years, rotating between the four cities. In practice the four-city cycle may actually take eleven or thirteen years and this because of the difficulties and controversies in calculating the astrological conjunctions. Furthermore the interval between the Kumbha Mela at Nasik and that at Ujjain is not of three years; they are celebrated the same year or only a year apart. This deviation in practice is intriguing and cannot be fully explained by either astrological or mythological means.

Wolf, the World's only Talking Pomeranian passed away on September 14th 2006. He will be very missed.
How does one share unto others that quality which Wolf had? His remarkable ability to speak the human language and use it correctly was extraodinary to say the least. Many hospital patients and children will miss the visits by Wolf, whom had absolute free roam to visit the hospital wards and patients. He brought many smiles to the childrens wards and the seniors and even the staff members.
His videos are good, but do not carry the wonder of seeing him in persona and watching him actually talk.
Wolf was totally remarkable...In the mornings one could say hello to him and he responded with hi or hello back...crazy little dog. But, he was enjoyed by multitudes upon multitudes and shall be sadly missed.
All we can say: Is God has a new puppy now! Mr. Wolf is resting in peace and the land of endless bones.

As Christians today we face so many denominations and named churches each sharing the Good News from the pulpits: Yet! We as individuals have forgotten that we each are called to learn for ourselves with the Comforter who is the Teacher of the Word of God that God shared through writers inspired by the Spirit to write the scriptures and stories we now accept as Inspired as the Bible. Throughout the world the Bible is in every language and many translations, and yet in every single one the Precept and Concept brought forth by the Indwelling Spirit to every writer and contributor to the Holy Word is always intact. No translation can change the Concept and the Precept as it was granted by the Father through the Spirit and revealed by the Son of God, whom is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Jesus opened the simple pathway to know the Father. I am amazed when so many know the Lord's Prayer Jesus gave us all to pray: And yet, so few have ever read or heard of the special prayers Jesus gave ONLY to those following him. Nonetheless, these prayers are in the New Testament in every translation in the world. And, they are not spoken of from the pulpits? Why? Go read for yourself and then enter your prayer chamber with the Creator and ask what you were simply missing and why?
These are the end days spoken of by the Lord, and we as Christians must be prepared and send out the Trumpets Sounding. Behold! Jesus Christ is Coming! Amen and Amen

As most high school and college students are busy tackling tests or taking it easy during spring break, student teams from across the Americas are preparing for the ultimate extracurricular activity – designing, building, and testing a vehicle that travels the farthest distance using the least amount of energy. After months of coordinating designs and constructing vehicles, 43 student teams – among 9 high schools and 29 universities – are putting the finishing touches on their vehicles for the 2010 Shell Eco-marathon Americas energy challenge. These leaders of tomorrow, and their fuel-efficient creations, will soon take to the streets of downtown Houston, March 26-28 around Discovery Green Park. We’ll find out if these students can beat the 2,757.1 miles per gallon (1,172.2 kilometers per liter) achieved in 2009 by Laval University, but more than that, the students will grant us a glimpse into the fuels, technologies and transportation of tomorrow.
