Following years of trying to expand their family, Lisa and James Park of Raleigh, NC were named the winning family in Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ 2014 Heart to Heart Video Contest. This marks the tenth year Ferring has provided educational grants through patient contests, giving parents who have struggled with infertility the chance to win thousands of dollars for their child’s education by sharing their story.
Lisa and James’ rollercoaster journey to parenthood included multiple rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI) and a frozen embryo transfer. They hope that by sharing their story and video, they can help raise awareness about infertility and provide hope for others facing similar struggles. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and National Company “Astana EXPO-2017” have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document was signed at an official ceremony at the Madrid headquarter of the organization by Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Chairman of the Board of NC Astana EXPO-2017, and Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of UNWTO.
"We expect that “EXPO-2017” will bring a large number of visitors to Kazakhstan. Therefore, we have focused our efforts on training personnel in the service industry," reported Mr. Yessimov following the signing of the memorandum.
We are counting on UNWTO's support and assistance in holding training sessions for Kazakhstan tour operators."

Company executives were on hand to build the 10-millionth tool – a 20V MAX* XR Lithium Ion Brushless 3-Speed Hammer Drill (DCD996P2).
Across its seven U.S. manufacturing plants, the brand produced more than 90 million individual products Made in the USA with global materials in 2016, an almost 50 percent increase from the 62 million individual products in 2015, just one year earlier. This is a meaningful accomplishment towards the brand’s effort to expand its domestic manufacturing using global materials, an effort that began in 2013. In addition to Charlotte, DEWALT operates manufacturing facilities in New Britain, CT; Greenfield, IN; Hampstead, MD; Shelbyville, KY; Cheraw, SC; and Jackson, TN.
