College will be a little bit easier for 90 students in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Dallas thanks to a $1,000 college scholarship and tablet from Aio Wireless.

In 3,9 Sekunden ist Tempo 100 erreicht, seine Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei über 300 km/h. Möglich macht das ein Bi-Turbo V6 mit 503 PS. Kubota Corporation today announced the grand opening of its new $73 million manufacturing facility at Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) in Jefferson, Ga. The 522,000-square-foot plant on the 88-acre site recently began production of Kubota’s 30- to 50-horsepower compact tractor models. The grand opening event was co-sponsored by Kubota Tractor Corporation, the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota tractors and equipment.

Vor allem diejenigen, die bereits den ebenfalls ja erst seit knapp einem Jahr erhältlichen Rapid gegenüber dem länger gewordenen Octavia favorisierten. Denn sie haben jetzt die Wahl zwischen der klassischen Stufenheck-Limousine und der Kurzheck-Form. Das ist vor allem eine Sache des Geschmacks und der persönlichen Vorliebe. Denn wenn auch der Spaceback mit 4,30 Metern 18 Zentimeter kürzer als die Limousine ist, sind die Platzverhältnisse für die Insassen genauso großzügig wie beim „großen Bruder“. Das geht allerdings zu Lasten des Ladeabteils, das mit 415/1.380 zu 550/1.490 Liter Volumen deutlich kleiner ausgefallen ist. Aber nur im direkten Vergleich - im Segment der Kurzheck-Modelle ist das einer der besten Werte und mehr als ausreichend selbst für größere Einkäufe bei einem Baumarkt. Die Fahrleistungen und Verbräuche sind mit minimalen Vorteilen für die Limousine nahezu identisch und auch das Fahrverhalten unterscheidet sich künftig nicht, da der „klassische“ Rapid das optimierte Fahrwerk ebenfalls erhält. Bleibt also das Blechkleid. Die Front ist bis zur B-Säule gleich gezeichnet, doch die Silhouette des Spaceback wirkt mit ihren schlanken Säuleneinheiten und der hohen, scharf ausgeprägten Tornadolinie sowie mit dem deutlich kürzer ausfallenden hinteren Überhang einfach sportlicher, dynamischer als die Limousine. Und auch das Heck ist prägnanter, kräftiger gezeichnet. Im Prinzip stehen sich hier also Klassik und sportlicher Chic und sogar ein bisschen Lifestyle gegenüber und es könnte gut sein, dass Skoda sich damit eine neue Käuferschicht erschließt, ohne die bisherige zu verprellen.

More than 30 years after the cult
television series The Love Boat filmed a special Australia episode in
Sydney, the show's popular Captain Stubing has released a fun video
about his latest tour Down Under, revealing he still loves to be at the
helm. With his visit timed to coincide with the romance
around St Valentine's Day, actor Gavin MacLeod, who played Captain
Stubing on the popular 70's show, visited Australia and New Zealand in
February, to renew the wedding vows of more than 30 local couples
onboard the Australian-based Sun Princess. The new video
captures highlights of Gavin's visit to Sydney and Auckland, including
his role as 'celebrant' at the wedding vow renewal ceremony as well as
his cruise across the Tasman Sea onboard Sun Princess with Gavin having
a little trouble adjusting to his new role as a guest, rather than the
captain, onboard the modern Love Boat. Speaking after his
tour, Gavin said he had fond memories of The Love Boat's time down
under in 1981, and he was delighted to revisit Sydney this year to
