To motivate parents and their children to spend more time in nature together, the U.S. Forest Service and the Ad Council today launched a new public service advertisement (PSA) campaign urging families to experience the many wonders of nature close to home together.
The PSAs, created in partnership with The Foundry, Time Inc.’s state-of-the-art creative lab and content studio, focus on family time in nearby forested environments, reminding parents that having a nature experience with their children is not only easy and local, but also fun and full of learning opportunities and benefits. This is the first time that the Ad Council has worked with the creative division of a media company that has iconic roots in publishing on a large-scale production on behalf of one of its PSA campaigns. A range of Time Inc. properties are also donating print and digital advertising space in support of this campaign.

The campaign is raising awareness of Dupuytren’s Contracture, a progressive, potentially disfiguring hand condition affecting a layer of tissue underneath the palms that can cause one or more fingers to move into a bent position so they cannot be straightened.
Dupuytren’s Contracture, sometimes referred to as “Viking Disease,” can make everyday tasks difficult, such as grabbing an object at home, or in Tim Herron’s case, a nine iron from his golf bag. Many people live with the disease without being diagnosed because they mistakenly assume they have arthritis or another hand condition. And because Dupuytren’s Contracture may progress slowly, people may not pay attention to it until they can no longer straighten their fingers, complicating everyday activities.

Epson America, Inc., a leading provider of superior performing printing solutions, today announced its newest additions to the Supertank line of cartridge-free EcoTank® printers, including three new Expression® EcoTank home models and two new WorkForce® EcoTank printers for the small medium business market. Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, was on hand last month as Blazing Hope Ranch, a nonprofit organization in Dayton, Tenn., that aids survivors of human trafficking, commemorated its new H.O.P.E. Haven facilities at a recent dedication ceremony.
H.O.P.E. -- Healing, Opportunity, Protection and Education -- Haven will serve as transitional living quarters for the survivors in the Blazing Hope Ranch program. In 2016 Vanderbilt Mortgage donated two modular homes previously used for company housing to Blazing Hope Ranch that currently make up H.O.P.E. Haven. The four bedroom, two bathroom homes will be used to house female survivors and live-in mentors while they go through the organization’s program.
