Kings Dominion turns back the clock as the park announces plans for a celebration four decades in the making. This once in a lifetime event will include many surprises, the return of classic park icons and a chance to create new traditions and memories with your family. The celebration will begin next season to commemorate the opening of Kings Dominion and Lion Country Safari.

Kings Dominion – home of the bigger, better Planet Snoopy – kicks off the unofficial start of summer on Memorial Day weekend with the opening of WaterWorks, Kings Dominion’s 20-acre water park which is included with the price of admission.
Kings Dominion will also honor our nation’s heroes with Military Days May 25 – 27 and Dominion at Dusk which features a firework show, Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular with more than one million LED lights and Street Beats, an all-new dance party on the famous International Street. Dominion at Dusk will operate during every 10 P.M. park closing from May 25th through Labor Day weekend.

Togetherness takes on a whole new meaning as Kings Dominion announces plans for a multi-million dollar addition to its children’s area, Planet Snoopy. This 7-acre expansion will make Planet Snoopy the world’s largest PEANUTS™ themed children’s area when it debuts in the spring of 2013.
Planet Snoopy will boast at least 12 new and re-themed attractions based on one of the most beloved comic strip characters. The attractions, designed for families to ride together, include an opportunity for a family to take to the skies in a balloon ride, twirl around in classic tea cups with a new twist and hop aboard a PEANUTS™- themed railway. When the expansion is complete, Planet Snoopy will span nearly 14-acres.

The most exciting ride in Kings Dominion’s 35-year history opens to the public April 2, 2010, as the amusement park introduces a mammoth 5,100-foot long steel Giga-coaster. Intimidator 305 takes its name from one of stock car racing’s most beloved and tenacious drivers, Dale Earnhardt, “the Intimidator™” along with the height of the coaster’s lift hill, 305 feet.
