The delegation from Kazakhstan took part in the 159th General Assembly of Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris. Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Chairman of the Board of National Company “Astana EXPO-2017”, and Rapil Zhoshybayev, Commissioner for EXPO-2017, delivered a report on the progress of preparations for the event. "To create favorable conditions for foreign tourists, last year Kazakhstan abolished the visa regime with 20 developed countries. This was done unilaterally. Starting from January 1, 2017, countries with visa-free access will include the OECD members, Malaysia, Monaco, the UAE and Singapore," said Mr. Zhoshybayev in his Paris report. The Ad Council today launched a groundbreaking public service campaign designed to encourage audiences to welcome and support refugees who have recently resettled in the U.S. The campaign aims to raise awareness, dispel misconceptions and connect audiences to EmbraceRefugees.org where they can learn more about the issue and find local resources to assist refugees in their communities. Launching to coincide with World Refugee Day, the integrated effort was developed with creative firm Tongal and its global network of filmmakers, marking the first time in the Ad Council’s 75-year history the organization has created a new campaign through crowdsourcing. The public service ads (PSAs) debuted this morning and will be distributed to media outlets nationwide this week. “America has a proud legacy of welcoming refugees.
