Der bärenstarke 2,5-Liter-Fünfzylinder-Turbo verbraucht im Durchschnitt nur 8,8 Liter Kraftstoff pro 100 Kilometer (206 Gramm CO2 pro Kilometer. Sein Basispreis: 54.600 Euro. In jedem Detail des RS Q3 überzeugt die sportliche RS-Philosophie, die damit eine neue Klasse im SUV-Segment begründet. Egal, ob im Cruiser Tempo oder bei sehr flottem Fortkommen, was man übrigens wirklich nicht an der Tankstelle bereuen muss. Der Normverbrauch ist zwar wie üblich, Theorie, doch Effizienz-Technologien wie ein serienmäßiges Start-Stop-System und eine geregelte Ölpumpe tragen dazu bei, dass man auf jeden Fall unter zehn Liter auf 100 Kilometer bleiben sollte. Effektiv -das serienmäßige Fahrdynamiksystem Audi drive select, das drei wirklich unterschiedliche Betriebsmodi bietet. Als Kraftübertragung dient eine kompakte Siebengang S tronic. Der Fahrer kann das Doppelkupplungsgetriebe in den Programmen D und S automatisiert arbeiten lassen oder die Gänge selbst wechseln - mit den Wippen am Lenkrad oder mit dem RS-spezifischen Wählhebel. Die hydraulisch betätigte und elektronisch geregelte Lamellenkupplung bildet das Herzstück des permanenten Allradantriebs quattro. Im regulären Fahrbetrieb leitet sie die Antriebsmomente zum größten Teil an die vordere Achse, bei Bedarf kann sie sie blitzschnell teilweise oder ganz nach hinten schicken.
