St. Catherine Hospital from Croatia has been named as one of the finalists, and Ruban d’Honneur recipients, in the 2016/17 European Business Awards sponsored by RSM.
It is one of only 110 finalists announced after over 33,000 businesses were engaged in the competition, and was chosen by a panel of independent judges because it displayed the core values of innovation, ethics and success.
The company will now undertake an in depth face-to-face interview, and will find out if it is a winner of one of the 11 categories at a Gala Final on May 4 in Dubrovnik.

Maggiano’s Little Italy® is a go-to, Guest favorite for special occasions ranging from birthdays and anniversaries to weddings and graduations. CNA and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) today announced Antis Roofing & Waterproofing as this year’s winner of the CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award. The Community Involvement Award honors the outstanding acts of heroism performed by NRCA contractor members for their communities.
As winner, Antis received a $7,500 monetary donation from CNA to be bestowed to its charity of choice. The organization selected OneOC, which supports nonprofits with volunteers, training, consulting and fiscal sponsorship.
“CNA recognizes the value of a strong work ethic – both in the office and in the community, and we’re proud to recognize Antis for doing more than their part to strengthen their Orange County community,” said Aaron Kock, Assistant Vice President and Industry Leader, CNA.

Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, today revealed the long-awaited new XC60 premium SUV at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new car replaces Volvo’s highly-successful original XC60, which in the nine years since its launch became the bestselling premium mid-sized SUV in Europe with nearly a million units sold globally. The XC60 today represents around 30 per cent of Volvo’s total global sales.
“We have a strong heritage in designing stylish and dynamic SUVs that offer the latest in technology. The new XC60 will be no exception. It’s the perfect car for an active lifestyle, and it represents the next step in our transformation plan,” said Håkan Samuelsson, President and Chief Executive, Volvo Car Group.

The video harnesses Common’s striking spoken word ability, calling on Americans to fight against vision loss and prioritize their vision. Common highlights the 61 million Americans at-risk of severe vision loss, and challenges us all to imagine a life without sight.

The Tory Burch Foundation today announced the launch of a global campaign, #EmbraceAmbition, to encourage women to embrace ambition. The initiative kicks off today to coincide with International Women’s Day. Inspired by Tory’s personal experience as a woman and entrepreneur, the campaign aims to address the double standard that exists around ambition, which is often seen as a great attribute in men and as a negative one in women.
A cornerstone of the campaign is a video PSA celebrating ambition, created with Laird+Partners. Company executives were on hand to build the 10-millionth tool – a 20V MAX* XR Lithium Ion Brushless 3-Speed Hammer Drill (DCD996P2).
Across its seven U.S. manufacturing plants, the brand produced more than 90 million individual products Made in the USA with global materials in 2016, an almost 50 percent increase from the 62 million individual products in 2015, just one year earlier. This is a meaningful accomplishment towards the brand’s effort to expand its domestic manufacturing using global materials, an effort that began in 2013. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that it is seeking applicants for its Youth Preparedness Council. FEMA’s Youth Preparedness Council was formed in 2012 to bring together teens from across the country who are interested and engaged in advocating for preparedness. Council members are selected based on their dedication to public service, efforts in making a difference in their communities, and potential to expand their impact as national advocates for preparedness. Students in 8th through 11th grade are eligible to apply.
