Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast was introduced at Six Flags St. Louis today with St. Louis Cardinal and World Series MVP David Freese on-hand for the first official ride. Eighteen members of Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Louis joined Freese for the inaugural launch-ride on the park’s newest twist to one of its most popular thrill rides. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast sends riders backwards through a 190-foot tunnel, into a 180-degree inversion, then climbs more than 200-feet in the air where they will find themselves suspended, dangling in the air, before repeating the entire chilling experience. “I have been coming to Six Flags since I was a kid and the roller coasters have always been my favorite,” said Freese. “I was really excited to ride Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast. The backwards launch and experience of going up the tower facing straight down is a real rush.” To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://www.multivu.com/mnr/55951-mr-freeze-reverse-blast-launches-at-six-flags-st-louis

You could watch a complete baseball game in all thirty major league ballparks. That’s a lot of hot dogs. Why not run 7 marathons, on 7 continents. You could build a spaceship and launch your dog into orbit. The Soviet Union did it. Real people did all these things…so what could you do in 5 weeks? Something extraordinary. Attend real classes for real credits at Kaplan University- and only pay if you stay. Five weeks to see if Kaplan University is the right fit for you. Five weeks to pursue your passion. Shake Weight, the nation’s most talked about, best-selling and most parodied fitness craze, is the centerpiece of a newly-released independent study that proves the world-famous arm-sculpting device is no laughing matter. FitnessIQ, marketers of the Shake Weight, today disclosed findings of a scientific study conducted by Dr. Jeffrey M. Willardson, an Associate Biomechanics Professor at Eastern Illinois University (EIU). The study evaluated the effects of incorporating a six-minute Shake Weight routine in the warm-up sessions of three Division I collegiate athletic teams, measuring the device’s impact on performance. The American Pain Foundation (APF), in partnership with professional baseball player LaTroy Hawkins, acknowledges those suffering from Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN) today, as it recognizes the second annual PHN Awareness Day. PHN Awareness Day was created to raise awareness to the pain caused by shingles and PHN, also known as after-shingles pain. Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the same virus that causes chickenpox and can affect an individual who has had chickenpox at anytime without warning. More than 90 percent of adults in the United States have had chickenpox, placing them at risk for shingles. One in every five of the 1 million Americans who have had shingles each year may go on to develop PHN, a potentially devastating condition that disproportionately affects those over the age of 50 or with weakened immune systems.
