The press conference has been convened for the official launch of IAGTO’s 2nd Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) that will take place in Pattaya from 29 April to 2 May this year. The AGTC is the largest and most important gathering of Asia’s golf tourism industry. IAGTO will be bringing to Thailand 150 golf tour operators from 35 countries who all sell golf holidays to Asian golf destinations. Over 500 delegates will participate including more than 60 golf resorts, golf clubs, and hotels from Thailand.

The annual ASEAN Tourism Forum or ATF started off today in Vientiane, Laos. From January 21st to 24th, the travel trade-only exhibition and business meetings platform is bringing over 2,000 delegates from around the world, comprising of heads of National Tourist Organisations, Tourism Ministers, suppliers from across ASEAN, International Buyers, Media and other tourism professionals to discuss about tourism matters of the region.

Chinese New Year is a big celebration for anywhere in Thailand and that doesn’t spare Ayutthaya. From February the 11th to the 16th, Ayutthaya’s downtown sees a very big food fair with the highlight on the performance from the mainland China.

The Royal Elephant Kraal & Village sitting 5 kilometers away from Ayutthaya’s Historical Park doesn’t only hold historical significance as the place the ancient kings used to watch wild elephants being captured for royal usage, but is also the ground to Elephant Stay, home and nursery to over 90 elephants where the beasts receive attentive love and care, as well as be carefully trained to be involved in tourism activities.
