“A broad river is in waves, the rice flowers are sweet smelling over the banks…” On August 1, Chinese Army Day, an eye-catching ‘Flash Mob’ took place at Ginza Square, Tokyo, three Chinese young men, with deep affection, performing a ‘Red Song’ My Motherland, one of the classic songs written in praise of the Communist Party of China.
As they said, to fulfill their shared promise made five years ago, these three youngsters travelled a long distance from Nanchang, ‘the City of Heroes’ of China, gathering in Japan to express their patriotism and affection for their home country in the form of singing red song chorus. Accompanying their singing was an official promo of Nanchang displayed on the huge screen at the back of them. As images of Nanchang’s unique landmarks like the Monument of Nanchang Uprising, Tengwang Pavilion and the Twin Tower flittered one by one, their melody brought passersby, especially overseas Chinese back to that heroic city which, 90 years ago, once gave birth to the first authentic people’ army led by the Communist Party of China.

Celal Şengör ise jeoloji profesörü olmasına rağmen ilahiyat öğrencilerinin bilim ve evrim karşıtı (daha doğrusu ezberleyip geldikleri) sorularına ustalıkla cevap vermişti.
Programın başlarında Şengör'ün insanın evrimini anlatma çabalarına rağmen, soru-cevap bölümüne gelindiğinde eğitim sisteminin kurbanı bir neslin Dunning-Kruger sendromundan nasıl nasiplendiğine tanık olduk. Bu kısımdaki genç de konuyla ilgili en ufak bir bilgisi olmamasına rağmen bir bilim insanına kafa tutmak için ezber bellediği soruları kendinden çok emin bir şekilde soruyor ve sorularına tek tek cevap geldikçe daha da hırslanıyor. Konuyu öğrenmek ve anlamak için sormadığı çok açık değil mi? O salonda kulaklarını gerçeklere kapatmış kitlenin toplumun çoğunluğunu oluşturması da bir o kadar acı değil mi? The Air National Guard (ANG) is proud to announce the return of the Air National Guard Mobile Experience. The hands-on, interactive tour returns to the road for a fifth year to immerse participants in an experience that simulates the real-life roles of Air Guard men and women and highlights the ANG’s dual role, supporting both federal and state missions.
While participating in the tour, attendees learn how they can serve their country and maintain a fulfilling civilian life, by serving one weekend a month and two weeks a year near their home. The Air National Guard Mobile Experience includes five separate touring vehicles each designed to educate the public about the ANG. The touring vehicles are traveling nationwide through November, visiting fairs, festivals, air shows, fitness and music events.
