The winner of the grand prize package valued at over $1.8 million will receive the completely remodeled and fully furnished home, a new Honda Accord, plus $250,000 from national mortgage lender Quicken Loans®. Interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn has taken a formerly dated home and transformed it into a ruggedly elegant waterfront escape with a design aesthetic best described as “livable modernism.” Situated on a quiet and historic peninsula with unobstructed views of Puget Sound as the backdrop, the fully remodeled tri-level 1970s contemporary home maintains a coastal and casual look that embodies Pacific Northwest style and places a strong emphasis on natural materials.

Al Maryah Island hosted Abu Dhabi’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration, a spectacular evening of music and fireworks. Thousands of families and friends filled the island’s waterfront Promenade where they enjoyed an electrifying concert with Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop sensation Mohamed Hamaki, and winner of Arab Idol 2015, Mohammed Assaf.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed hearing their favourite songs performed during the five-hour show, which culminated in an exhilarating midnight countdown, followed by a breath-taking firework display.
The evening was a landmark occasion in Al Maryah Island’s colourful events calendar and was staged through a partnership between Mubadala and Platinum Records, the leading record label company which operates under the umbrella of MBC Group.

Harbor Shores, Lake Michigan’s resort destination and waterfront community in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, Michigan, today announced plans for the opening of its seventh and largest neighborhood, Harbor Village. Outdated beachfront properties are transformed into hot commodities in HGTV’s newest renovation competition series, Beach Flip. Premiering on Sunday, July 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, HGTV and DIY Network stars Nicole Curtis (Rehab Addict), Josh Temple (House Crashers) and David Bromstad (My Lottery Dream Home) act as hosts, judges and mentors to four rival teams as they compete to renovate rundown waterfront bungalows with outdated décor, loud wall colors and awkward layouts into spectacular properties in just eight weeks. Country superstar Darius Rucker helped the resort usher in a new look and name as he played to a crowd of 17,000 as the inaugural headlining act for The Great Lawn, Harrah’s new waterfront entertainment space. Fireworks lit the night sky to kick-off the summer season and celebrate the completion of a months-long renovation to the resort, formerly known as The Grand Biloxi, which includes an upgraded, more open casino floor, new restaurants and enhanced pool experience.
